What, who is behind Coffeeshops Guide? |
Welcome to the Coffeeshops Guide!
Coffeeshops Guide was first built in 1998. First as ASP Web Site and then as ASP .NET Web application. It is the work of one .NET developer. From designing, architecture, developing and photograph for Amsterdam. While developing this web site I had two goals:- Giving no commercial information about Coffeeshops.
- Using that application as a page in my portfolio.
Coffeshop visitors have the possibilty to discover and visit
all open coffeeshops. As i am alone i rely on visitors from the coffeeshops
guide to give me feedback. This feedback can be added in a number of ways:- Reviewing a coffeeshop using the link on each coffeeshop description page.
- Giving a note from 0 to 10 for a coffeeshop using its description page.
- Uploading photo(s) for every coffeeshop using the coffeeshop description page.
- Send me a message using the Contact page for any positive or negative remark over the web site or its data.
- Giving the name and address of a coffeeshop not yet listed using the Miscellaneous page.
- Writing a comment that any visitor will be able to read in the Guest book.
- Giving me developing projects to accomplish as freelance using the contact page.
- Donate few money to help me to pay the hardware / hosting, etc bill.
To avoid the maximum of pollution, I mean false information, using of bad language, not related comments or photo(s), every post apart from the photo needs to be confirmed. You give your email address and a mail is sent to you for confirmation.
What is new in that system is that you have now the possibility to find on a map coffeeshops around another one at variable distances
Right now this version is only in English but comment can be posted in six languages as before.
The other four languages (German, Italians, Spanish and Polish) will be soon available. I encourage anyone who fancy translating the menus and few fixed sentences in other language to contact me and I will send him / her a complete list of what I need as translation to have another language available for visitors. I hope you enjoyed the visit
I am actually looking for native German, Italians, Spanish and Polish people to help me translating this site. It is few work.. Only few sentences and words to translate to make it accesible to these countries. Thanks contacting me.. |
